About Matt Lewis
Matt was born and raised in the beautiful village of Erowal Bay located in the Jervis Bay region. As a kid along with all his friends Matt tried nearly every sport under the sun, with his only major ambition in life to become a professional athlete. At 16 years old Matt left school to begin his apprenticeship as a Air conditioning and Refrigeration mechanic, while completing his trade Matt was a very competitve ametuer boxer holding the East coast title in the featherweight division. For Matt his dreams were set on becoming a successful professional boxer until he participated in the local Huskisson triathlon for some extra fitness and fell in love with the sport and never looked back…
Triathlon
After 7 years as an Age group triathlete under the very watchful eye of his coach Nathan Miller from Project M training, Matt has had the opportunity to race all around Australia and Europe. He has now received his Professional license and is looking forward to what is ahead for him in this great sport of triathlon. When not racing or training you'll find Matt searching for his golf balls in the bunkers at Vincentia golf course or enjoying a beer with his mates at the local Wildginger.
